About Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is a hard rock band from New Jersy, USA. Main Lead Singer is Jon Bon jovi and band was formed in 1983. Other remembers of band include guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres. Alec John left group in 1994 but rest of the lineup has remained the same for the past 27 years.
Band have released eleven studio albums and their first two albums were moderately successful albums in 1984 and 1985. Their major success came from Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988).
After non-stop touring, Bon Jovi went on hiatus after the New Jersey Tour in 1990 which gave Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora time to release very successful solo albums. In 1992, Bon jovi got back together again to make the double platinum Keep the Faith album and has since created a string of platinum albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
Bon Jovi has had 19 singles on the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Four of Bon Jovis albums reached No. 1 including You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin on a Prayer, Bad Medicine, and Ill Be There for You. Bon Jovi also holds the record for the most weeks for a hard rock album at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Slippery When Wet, as well as the most Top 10 singles from a hard rock album, with New Jersey, which charted five such singles.
