Simply Red is an English pop band. Simply Reds style draws influences from pop, rock, jazz, lovers rock, and blue-eyed soul. Over time, the name "Simply Red" has come to refer less to a specific group of musicians, and is widely regarded as a name for Mick Hucknall's recordings.

About Simply Red
Founded in the early 80's as a band. In 1985 they released their debut-album "Picture Book" with their hit single "Holding Back The Years". Nowadays "Simply Red" was a solo-act of (lead) singer and songwriter Mick Hucknall who made the albums using guest-musicians. In 2003 he made a big comeback with the album "Home" which contained the massive hits "Sunrise" and "Fake".
In October 2010, Hucknall announced the end of Simply Red following their 2010 tour.
