The Cure have been writing and recording material for a new album since 2006. Geffen Records confirmed it will be a double record, with a projected Spring 2010 release. The Cure announced a last-minute postponement of their Fall 2010 North American Tour in August in order to continue working on the album. They rescheduled the dates for Spring of 2010.
