About Eagles
The Eagles are a musical band from America. It originated from Los Angeles and began in 1971. The band consists of five members namely Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. During the 70s, The Eagles produced some of the most popular songs and released many hit albums. These songs and albums made the band won different awards. In addition, they got many albums to the top ranking among all the American music albums. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, two albums of this band, Hotel California and Greatest Hits (1971-1975) made place in the top 20 albums in the United States in terms of sales.
In addition, Hotel California was rated 37th among the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Hits Of all Times. In 2004, because of producing big hits consistently, this band got 75th rank in the list of 100 Greatest Artists Of All Time in a magazine. The album, Greatest Hits (1971-1975) made record sales in the United States of over 29 million copies. Generally watching their sales, In the United States, they have sold 100 million albums and they have sold more than 120 million albums all over the world. These sales have brought them on the 5th rank in terms of their sales of music act in the history of the United States. Along with this, in the history of the United States they are rated as the highest in terns of sales as American band. The band broke up in 1980 but was then united again in 1994. They are still producing big hits and giving performances in different parts of the world.
