Madness is one of the most popular bands from England. The band has its origin in Camden Town in London. The style of the music of the band is pop/ska. The band was created in the year 1976 having seven members. However the members have been decreasing and increasing from time to time. During the end of 1970s, the band was at its peak in popularity and fame. The band continued this popularity and was one of the top most bands during the period of 1980s. This band has the honor of staying in the chart of the singles for 214 weeks in the UK.
The members present in the band include Graham McPherson who is the leading vocalist in the band. Then is Cathal Smyth who handles backing vocals also dances in the band and is responsible for handling the trumpet. Another backing vocalist in the band is Lee Thompson. Other than backing vocals, he is also responsible for percussion and Saxophone. Then is Mike Barson who plays piano and keyboard. Other than this, he also handles the backing vocals and vibraphones. The guitarist in the band is Chris Foreman, Mark Bedford is the bass guitarist in the band and then is Daniel Woodgate who handles the percussion and drums. It was heard in December 2010, the band was working to release its new album, the name of which was not decided yet. The band has continuously been producing albums and is still working on various projects. During the current year, the band appeared and made its performance at the Royal Festival Hall in Meltdown Festival.
