Chris De Burgh

Chris de Burgh is a singer as well as a songwriter of English and Irish descent. He is more commonly known with his stage name and his real name is Christopher John Davison. In 1974, Chris de Burgh signed with A&M Records and did a small tour that earned him a small fan following. His initial works failed to make any impression on charts in the UK and Ireland until his first single managed a position on Brazilian charts. His song, The Lady in Red brought him into the limelight in the year, 1986.

To date, he has released eighteen studio albums, ten compilation albums and five live albums. He also has to his record, nine videos and DVDs and numerous top 100 singles for UK as well as the world. He has held large number of concerts like most other musicians but due to his exceptional musical talents, he is recognized all over the world and his invited to perform on stages in various concerts and festivals. Chris de Burgh's 2007 performance in Tehran made him the first western singer to have performed in Iran since the Iranian revolution. He is one of those singes who have released the highest number of topping singles not just in regional chart but also international ones.

His last tour was done in 2010, the year when he released his last album to date. His fans continue to attend his shows largely and fill the house every time he appears for a stage performance. Chris de Burgh is still active and the world is waiting for his next tour to happen or album to come out.
