About Guns N Roses

Often shortened to as G N' R and GnR, Guns N' Roses is an American musical band with hard rock being its major genre. Guns N' Roses was formed in Hollywood in 1985, majorly founded by Axl Rose. With many changes in line-up and joining and leaving members, Gus N' Roses today only has Rose as the original member of the band. The current line-up comprises of Axl Rose as the lead vocalist and pianist, Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) as the lead guitarist, Frank Ferrer as the Drummer, Dizzy Reed as the keyboardist, Richard Fortus as the rhythm guitarist, Tommy Stinson as the bassist, DJ Ashba and Chris Pitman.

Guns N' Roses is undoubtedly one of the most popular bands in the world to date, known primarily for reviving the revived, rebellious and hedonistic punk scene coupling it up with hard rock music. The band has released more than 100 million productions all across the globe while 45 million of their copies have been shipped only within the United States. Since the very beginning of the career, Guns N' Roses began enjoying a great deal of fame and success when the band's debut album, Appetite for Destruction reached Number 1 on US Billboard 200 and sold 28 million copies in excess to become the highest selling album of all time, in the world.

The band has released six studio albums up till now and is working on its seventh for release in 2012. The band has done a very few stage performances compared to other bands but is enjoying continued fame and success and working with equal energy.
