Darkness is a musical band from England. They basically belong to Lowestoft in Suffolk. This is a hard rock band and begun in 2000. Darkness consists of four members namely, Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Ed Graham and Frankie Poullain. This band gained fame in 2003 with the release of their first album, Permission to Land. Some of the most popular songs of this album include, I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Love is Only a Feeling, Get Your Hands Off my Woman and Growing On Me. This album made record sales of over 1,200,000. After achieving this record, this album received the certificate of quadruple platinum in the UK.
However after the release of this album, one of the members Poullain left the band. The band was then joined by Richie Edward in place of Poullain. The second album of the band, One Way Ticket to Hell and Back, was released in 2005. In 2006, Justin Hawkins the original member of the band, left to work on his own project. On the other hand the rest of the members formed a band with the name of Stone Gods. This band continued to give some of the most outstanding performances and released successful albums. But during the current year, the band declared that they were to reunite on different shows. Another announcement that was made by the band was that they were working on their third album as the reunited band and the album is expected to be released soon.
