About Beyonce
Having been exposed for her musical and dancing careers since her childhood, Beyonce Knowles is a Houston born American R&B singer. In addition, she is also a fashion designer, actress and a recording actress. She has been studying at numerous performing arts school all throughout her childhood and finally rose to fame when she became part of one of the world's best selling girl bands, Destiny's Child. This was in late 1990s. In 2003 however, Destiny's Child came to an end and Beyonce released her solo album named, Dangerously Loved. There and then, success had touched Boyencoe's feet which continues to date. Dangerously Loved received a global acclaim and applaud, held two singles that became Number 1 hits and the album was ranked as one of the most successful albums of 2003. For this album, she won five Grammy Awards setting a record.
The major success however came up when Beyonce released her third album in when the 52nd Grammy Awards brought six Grammy's to her name, making her the first female artist to have won six Grammy's in one night. Beyonce's second album, B'Day was released in 2006 right after the disbandment of Destiny's Child and reached Number 1 at Billboards200. Side by side, Beyonce had also been concentrating on her acting career and appeared in a number of films. Her 2006 release, Dreamgirls, got her into two Golden Globe nominations.
Having sold millions of copies of her musical works, Beyonce Knowles has become one of the world's best selling music artists of all times. She has been ranked as the top artist of the decade, the most successful female artist of the decade, 4th of all the female artists of the decade and second amongst the 100 most powerful and influential celebrities in the world.
