About Cliff Richard

Cliff Richard, who is known as Sir Cliff Richard, is an all-rounder personality of Britain. He is a musician, a pop star, an actor, performer, philanthropist and an entrepreneur. Cliff Richard has sold more than 260 million records all over the world. He started as a rock and roll singer with a group named, The Shadows. His style of singing was similar to that of Elvis Presley and Little Richard. During late 50s and in the early 60s, Cliff Richard was known to be the top singer in the pop music scene of Britain. In 1958, he produced a super hit single, Move It, actually gave recognition to the rock and roll songs of Britain.

According to a British musician, John Lennon, there was nothing as such to listen in the British music before Cliff Richard and his band, The Shadows, stepped in the scene. Eventually, at the age of 52, Cliff was recognized as one of the most prominent personalities in the world of British entertainment. Richard has gathered a huge amount of awards of gold and platinum for his outstanding performances in the world of entertainment. Among all other awards, Cliff has had the honor of receiving Brit Award three times. In addition to this, he has also won Ivor Novello Award two times.

Cliff Richard has not only made his name in the world of entertainment in the UK but his fame reached many other parts of the world including Australia, Europe, South Africa and many other parts of the world.
