Fleetwood Mac is a band that was formed in 1967. The band began its career from London. Basically the band is British American. However all the actual members of the band have left it, except the drummer, Mick Fleetwood. Although, the founder of the band was Peter Green, he inducted two of his old band colleagues, but never worked with it himself. He was not with the band even when the band produced their first song or even not at the very first performance that the band gave at a concert.
Fleetwood Mac saw two phases of its peak. One of those was during the end of 60s. At that time the leader of the band was Peter Green. It was then that the band produced a song, Albatross. This song was ranked as number one song of the UK. The second phase of the band was during the period of 1975-1987. At this time, the members of the band were Christine McVie, Steve Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. They released their second album in 1977. In this album, four songs were able to make the place in the US top 10 songs. These songs remained at number one for 31 weeks constantly. In addition, these rated among the top songs in many other countries of the world. Up till now, there have been more than 40 million copies, sold all over the world. This has made the album to find the ninth place in the sales of the album of all time. Fleetwood Mac is still producing albums of music as well as making tours to different parts of the world.
