About Craig David

Having been born in the city of Southampton, Craig David is an English songwriter and a singer. After working on the B-side of the album of the band, Damage, Craig David gained exposure at a very early age. Since then, recording companies has shown interest in working with the young talent. However, it was not until the year 2001, when Craig David released his first song, Fill Me In that was almost entirely written by himself along with Mark Hill of the band, Artful Dodger. At that time, he was just 18 years old and got a mesmerizing success. This album peaked on the charts not just in the UK but also in the United States and Australia. In the same year, his album, Born to Do It also enjoyed high ratings by magazine readers.

In 2002, David released his second album, Slicker Than Your Average reached top 10 in the UK and spawned nine singles that consecutively became top 10 hits. A similar kind of success was achieved by his third and fourth albums, The Story Goes� and Trust Me.His 2010 album, Signed Sealed Delivered however couldnot remain as successful as his earlier albums. Having gained success and popularity at a very young age, Craig David's assets are estimated to be around �8 million.

David has received numerous awards including 12 BRIT Awards, 2 Grammy Awards, 8 MOBO Awards, 4 MTV Europe Awards, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, 2 MTV Video Music Awards Japan and many others alongside an honorary degree from Southampton Solent University entitling him as Doctor of Music.
