Born Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen and nicknamed as The Boss, Bruce Springsteen is an American songwriter and singer. His recording and touring is all done with the E street Band but he has a successful solo career and has long been renowned for his commercially successful music albums and amazing music that is a very fine blend of Americana sentiments, poetic lyrics and heartland rock genre. Bruce Springsteen has numerous awards to his record which include twenty Grammy Awards, one Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. He was ranked 23rd amongst the 100 Greatest Artist of all Time listing of the Rolling Stone magazine.

Having released both, commercially viable rock albums and the rather sober folks, Bruce Springsteen is known to people fancying a wide variety of musical genres. Within the United States, Bruce Springsteen has sold over 65 million albums and worldwide, he has sold around 120 million albums. Inspired by Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen landed in the world of music and in 1965, met a sponsor for young bands. He then joined many bands and performed in different cafes around the States. From 1972 to 1974, the singer released two albums that received critical acclaim but no commercial success. It was in 1974 that Brice Springsteen held shows for radio in New York along with the E Street Band and got his breakthrough.

Throughout his career, Springsteen has released eighteen albums with all of them, except for the first two, received large commercial success and popularity. Other than the awards, he has received numerous prizes for his contribution to music and has given many songs to films as well. The singer continues to enjoy worldwide fame and popularity.
