About Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton is among the most popular singers in England. Other than being a singer, he is a songwriter and a guitarist. Clapton has always been identified as one of the most significant and powerful guitarists that England has ever produced. He has been rated at number four among the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time in the magazine, Rolling Stone. In addition, he has also been ranked at fourth number in the Top 50 Guitarists of all time of Gibson. Clapton worked as a solo singer as well as in the groups, Cream and The Yardbirds. In the middle of 1960s, he left The Yardbirds and joined John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. In this group, he stayed for one year. Here, he received a nickname, slowhand.

In addition, he was declared as God in London by graffiti. After he left Mayall, he formed the group Cream, Power Trio. He formed these bands with the bassist, Jack Bruce and the drummer, Ginger Baker. In recognition of his services to the music industry, Clapton was given the CBE award in 2004. He joined several groups as well as continued his career as a solo singer. Throughout his career, he produced some big hits as a solo singer and with different bands. Clapton still actively performs in different concerts and on different events. In addition, he also tours to different to different places along with his band. He is considered to be one of the greatest singers of all times.
