About Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire is an indie rock band based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It consists of the husband and wife duo of Win Butler and R�gine Chassagne, they are the founders nof the band.. Win Butler is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the band. Other members include Win�s brother Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry , Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara, and Sarah Neufeld. Band members are multi-instrumentalist and they switch duties throughout shows.

The band�s debut album, Funeral, was released in September 2004 in Canada and February 2005 in Great Britain. In June 2005, the band released a new single, "Cold Wind". Their next album Neon Bible was released in March 2007. The Suburbs is the third studio album by the band , released in August 2010. The album was released with eight different covers.

Win Butler has been a vocal supporter of Barack Obama since the end of the New Hampshire Primary.The band performed two free concerts for Obama in Cleveland and Nelsonville, Ohio on March 2, 2008 and March 3, 2008 before the state's March 4 primary.

The band won two BRIT Awards from seven nomination, one Grammy Awards from six nominations, six Juno Awards from eleven, ine Metro Music Award from three, one NME Awards from four, two Plug Awards from three. In all Arcade fire has won 15 awards from 30 nominations.
