About Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter and an actress. Her full name is Miley Ray Cyrus but at the time of her birth, she was named Destiny Hope Cyrus. She rose to prominence when she began working in a Disney Channel sitcom named Hannah Montana as Miley Stewary. Through Walt Disney Records, she released the soundtracks for Hannah Montana and Hannah Montana 2 (Meet Miley Cyrus). The success of this series established Cyrus as a teen idol. In 2007, Miley Cyrus went on to pursue a solo career and the same year, held a tour titled 'Best of Both Worlds' in which she performed as Miley Cyrus as well as her character, Hannah Montana.

In 2008, this tour came out as a concert film and was entitle, Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. The same year, she released her debut album, which managed to achieve commercial success. Having sung the soundtrack, I Thought I Lost You for the 2008 animated film, Bolt, she received a Golden Globe nomination. In 2009, she returned with her Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana characters in the movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie whose soundtrack introduced the young talented singer to fans of adult contemporary and country music. In 2009, she released her second album, The Time of Our Lives and in 2010, she released The Last Song both of which, created an adult image of hers and spawned pop music.

Miley Cyrus has enjoyed a position of Number 13 in Forbe's Celebrity 100 rating, 64th Hottest Woman in the World by Maxim out of 100 people and 89th Sexiest Woman in the World amongst 100 Sexiest Women in the World by FMH.
