Il Divo is a musical band that formed in England in 2004. It is multi-cultural in terms of members who are the Spanish, Carlos Marin, the American David Miller, the Swiss Urs Bühler and the French, Sébastian Izambard. Where Izambard is the pop singer, Miller and Bühler are the tenors and provide the highest altitude of voices while Marin keeps his voice in between the bass and the tenors, becoming a baritone for the operatic band. Owing to its style of performing, the pop band, Il Divo has been officially identified as an operatic pop group. The word Il Divo is Italian and means 'divine male performer'. The band has sold more than 26 million copies worldwide up till 2011 and is expected to grow this number higher as its career progresses.

In 2006, Il Divo was ranked as the Most Multinational UK No. 1 Album Group in Guiness Book of World Records. The band has toured extensively in many parts of the world and given breathtaking performances owing to the professional training that its members have had. Il Divo were invited as special guests by Barbara Streisand to accompany her during her tour of North America and this tours turned out to be the second highest grossing of all tours to be held in 2006. The band also performed in American Idol and Swedish Idol and also sang a song for 2006 FIFA World Cup performing it twice.

Il Divo sings in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Latin. Up till 2008 have released 6 six albums that made sellout records, charted and received much fame and popularity. The band is now working to release their new album by the end of 2011. They already have the BRIT Award for Artist of the Decade to their name.
