About Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy was formed in the city of Wilmette, Illinois in 2001 and is a rock band. This American band has been nominated for Grammy's, a record that validates its fame, popularity and success in the world of music. The four piece band comprises of Patrick Stump as rhythm guitarist and vocalist, Pete Wentz as bassist, Joe Trohman as the lead guitarist and Andy Hurley as the drummer. The band released five albums from 2003 up till 2008 and then became apparently inactive. However they came up with their compilation album in 2009 before going on an official hiatus to work on their solo projects. Fall Out Boy has been ranked at Number 93 amongst the Best Artist of the 2000-2010 decade.

After releasing a series of EPs and LPs, Fall Out Boys released its first album in 2003, it was titled, Fall Out Boy's Evening out with your Girlfriend followed by a second album in the same year, Take This To Your Grave. Both the albums won the band immense success and a large fan following but it was not until the release of the third album by Fall Out Boy that it got recognizable fame and commercial success. It was in 2005 that the band released From Under the Cork Tree that took its name at Number 9 on Billboard 200. Singles from this album peaked on charts and videos won the band many awards and nominations. This album won a double platinum status and also renewed interest in the second album of the band, winning it gold certifications.

The following albums of the band also received large popularity and success on the charts. Currently, all members of the band are focusing on their solo projects and the band is at a hiatus. However, media reports have it that they would reunite in future and work further as a band.
