About Mcfly
McFly is an English boyband whose genre of focus is pop rock and has its name inspired from a character in the movie, Back To The Future. The band formed in 2002 by Tom Fletcher who also coined out its name, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter. Fletcher and Jones are the lead vocalists and guitarists of the band while Poynter is the backing vocalist and bass guitarist and Judd is the drummer. From their creating up till 2007, McFly remained signed to the label, Island Records but then created their own label, Super Records. It was with the help of Busted, a fellow boyband of McFly who invited Fletcher, Jones, Poynter and Judd to tour with them in the March of 2004.
Since then, McFly has not only won a BRIT Award but also sold around 8 million copes globally. In 2004, the band released its debut album, Room On The 3rd Floor that reached Number 1 on the UK Album Chart and has received double-platinum certification. With this, McFly took The Beatles' title of being the youngest band to have debuted at Number 1. Their second album, Wonderland came out in 2006 and spawned many singles that charted appreciably while their third album, Motion in the Ocean reached Number 6 in the chart. The band has released four studio albums and one compilation album.
McFly have released 18 singles that consecutively reached the Top 20. Seven of these were Number 1 and 15 were Top 10. In 2006, the band did a film that took their popularity all the way to the United States and today, it is enjoying a large global fan base and much of applaud.
