About Barry Manilow

Barry Manilow is one of the most celebrated celebrities in the United States. Born on the 17th of June, 1943, Manilow is not just a musician but also a song writer, arranger, conductor, producer and performer. The year 1978 marked the height of his success when five of his albums peaked on the best selling charts consecutively equaling him to Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatara, Johnny Mathis and Michael Jackson. Manilow, also has to his name, numerous consecutive hit singles to top Billboard charts and releasing a string of multi-platinum albums. He has thus been entitled as 'Radio and Records Number One Adult Contemporary Artist'. His records also contain Barry Manilow being given three American Music Awards for the category of 'Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist'.

Manilow has a lot more to his name that he can pride on and along with all this, the talented musician has written a number of songs for films, musicals and commercials. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Barry Manilow enjoyed a large number of albums and singles reaching high rakings in charts and a lot of international acclaim. The artist wrote songs for numerous plays, ads and serials that were all nominated for different awards. During the 1990s, Barry Manilow reduced his activities as a signer and relapsing singles and albums.
