Billy Idol

Known more popularly by his stage name Billy Idol, William Michael Albert Broad is a rock musician. He was born in Stanmore, Middlesex, England on the 30th of November, 1955 and gained popularity as part of the 1970s punk rock band, Generation X. Generation X disbanded in 1981 and Billy Idol began his solo career that marked ultimate success and global acclaim for the singer. His musical talents, when combined with stylish music videos, Billy Idol became one of the first MTV stars. Currently, Idol is enjoying tours of the world with guitarist, Steve Stevens and has maintained a worldwide fan following.

After dropping out of Sussex University, Idol joined and broke up with a number of musical bands. He finally formed Generation X by the end of 1970s and the band's popularity took them to sign a movie. It was after disbanding with Generation X that Billy Idol moved to New York and began working with Steve Stevens, Steve Missal and Phil Feit. In the July of 182, his first solo album entitled 'Billy Idol' was released. This was when Billy became a superstar and began touring all over Europe entertaining millions of fans. He then continued with EPs and LPs and gave fabulous performances. His 1993 album was sidelined due to a change in the music style but he soon rose to fame with a benchmarking comeback.

He released another album in 2005 which was well received and reviewed and his 2006 album was also fairly successful. As of today, Billy Idol is still enjoying a successful solo career and is touring various parts of the world giving hit stag performances.
