About Katherine Jenkins

Katherine Jenkins is one of the most popular singers in the UK. The basic style of music that she represents is classical. After completing her A- levels she started to take training of singing. She took this training from John Hugh Thomas. Jenkins cleared this exam very successfully and got the distinction in singing as well as piano playing. She stayed the member of Royal School Of Music Cathedral Singers from the year 1990 and 1996. Here she won the awards of highest RSCM award for female choristers and the St Cecilia. In addition to this, for three years, she remained the member of National Youth Choir of Wales. Other than this, she has also won the Welsh Choirgirl of the Year of BBC Radio 2 two times.

Jenkins has also had the honor of winning the competition of the BET Welsh Choirgirl of the Year. In addition to this, she has also been given the Palenna Valley Male Choir Scholarship in the category of most promising young singer. When Jenkins reached the age of 17, she got the Scholarship for studying the Royal Academy of Music. Here she studied Russian, French, German and Italian. Other than this, she also did graduation with honours. She also received a diploma of music teacher. In the year 2003, her work actually became the center of attraction for the people when she performed at the Westminster Cathedral. Then she started to perform at various festivals and events including a performance in front of Queen in the year 2006. She also appeared in different television shows and till date has been releasing different albums and making performances.
