Emily Autumn Liddell was born in the city of Los Angeles in California on the 22nd of September, 1979. Since quite some time now, she has been known by her stage name, Emilie Autumn. Autumn is not just a singer but also a poet, songwriter and a violinist. She always performs with her all-girl band namely, The Bloody Crumpets and is known for her flamboyant dresses and unusual style of dressing. Emilie Autumn's genre of music is varied and ranges from glam rock to cabaret to electronica to classical music. Her major influence is history and hence, has her music and performances based on novels, plays and the Victorian Era.
At the age of four, Emilie Autumn began learning violin and it was only four years later that she released her debut single. This however, only brought her talent as a violinist to the forefront and her singing talents were yet to be unveiled. In 1997, Autumn released her first classical album, On A Day: Music for Violin and Continuo which gained significant attention. In 2002, she came up with her second album, Enchant all based on dreams and highly arty theme. The same year, she was invited by Courtney Love to get on tour with her that she was doing to promote her album, America's Sweetheart. This gave Emilie Autumn a lot of exposure and popularity.
She has released 7 albums, 6 singles and EPs and has contributed to a number of concerts for various artists. Emilie Autumn has openly talked about her asexuality and bipolar disorder and continues to entertain her fans and audiences.
