Elliot Minor is a band from York, England that came to being in the year, 2000. It is a four-piece band that comprises of the lead vocalist and guitarist, Alex Davies, the vocalist and guitarist, Ed Minton and the brothers Ed Hetherton and Dan Hetherton. Where Ed is the bassist of the band, Dan is the backing vocalist and drummer. It was in 2006 that the band got their breakthrough by winning a MySpace competition while they were supporting the band McFly on its tour. Since then there was no looking back ad Elliot Minor had gotten enough encouragement to seriously continue with a musical career. The band's very first single, Parallel Words reached number 31 in UK Official Charts and have the band, much of popularity.

Subsequently, Elliot Minor continued to release singles which successfully made their place in UK's charts. In 2008, Elliot Minor released their debut album with the same name that managed to reach Number 6 on UK Albums Chart and at Number 30 on Irish Albums Chart. After the release, Elliot Minor continued to perform at various festivals including Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2009, Eliot Mino released their second album, Solaris that managed a place at Number 73 in UK Album Chart and Number 9 in UK Indie Chart.

Their 2011 album, 3rd Studio Album could however, not manage to make a mark on any chart. Since then, Elliot Minor has been on a hiatus for an unannounced span of time and their fans are hoping to see them back with yet another fabulous production or a rocking performance.
