Air Traffic
Air Traffic Biography
Air Traffic is a British indie-rock band from Bournemouth whose first album release sold out in just a few days. Johnny Depp is a fan of the band and has been to shows after meeting them in Olympic studios when the band recorded Fractured Life.. The bands name comes from when they used to practice next to a runway at Hurn Airport, where air traffic control signals could be picked up on their amplifiers. Air Traffic is rich with heavy piano and they have been described by NME to be like Supergrass covering Little Richard. The band got mainstream success with the re-release of their single "Charlotte", and their debut album, Fractured Life. Air Traffic’s single Shooting Star is currently used as the theme tunes for MTV UKs Living On The Edge, and YouTube's online series The Suburbs. Air Traffic was one of ten nominees for the XFM New Music Award in 2007 and they played at the XFM ceremony at London's Koko, on Wednesday 16th January 2008.
Air Traffic embarked on a extensive American tour supporting Elbow and they also played headline shows across the country. Get your Air Traffic Tickets online now with TheOnlineTicketExchange.
