About Dirty Pretty Things

Dirty Pretty Things were a musical band from England. The leader of this band was Carl Barat. Before this band was formed, Barat was a member of another musical band namely, The Libertines. However he came into clashes with another member of this band, Pete Doherty. After this band broke up, Barat announced to form the Dirty Pretty Things in September 2005. When the name of the band was kept, it had to face a couple of disputes as there were already bands existing with the same name. However all those disputes were resolved after the other bands agreed to change their names.

The band released its first album, Water To Anywhere in 2006. This album proved to be a big hit and was rated number 3 on the musical chart. The first song of the album that was released was, Bang Bang, You're Dead. This song made its place in the list top five songs in the first week after its release. After this, the second song of the album, Deadwood made its place in top twenty songs. During 2006, this band made a lot of tours in the UK and gave performances. In 2007, the band released its second album. However after making some of the most successful performances from 2006 to October 2008, the band announced its dissolution. The last tour that this band made was in October 2008. According to the band, they were breaking up in order to try out new things. The members thanked all their fans for giving such a great support.
