About Eric Burdon & The Animals

Eric Burdon is the founder of the music band, The Animals. Along with this, he is also the vocalist in the band. The additional style of music of Eric Burdon & The Animals is funk rock. It is a rock band and was created in 1968 in the city of Newcastle, England. As of its start, the name of this band was Alan Price Combo and was formed in 1958. However, after Burdon joined the band, the name was changed and was kept The Animals. They were one of the British bands that were extremely popular in the United States. One of the major reasons of the popularity of The Animals was the influential voice of the lead singer and the founder of the band, Eric Burdon.

Burdon produced some of the most popular songs with this band such as See See Riders, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Monterey and The House of the Rising Sun. At the end of 1966, most of the original members of the band had left. Eric Burdon, along with one of the members, Barry Jenkins who was the drummer in the band, re-organized it. The band was then known as Eric Burdon and The Animals. Then other members joined the band and they produced some big hits that became very popular. These songs include San Franciscan Night, When I Was Young and many other songs. The group brok up in 1969 but got reunited in 1975. In 2003, Burdon made another band, Eric Burdon And The Animals. Hence, he has continuously been producing big hits alone as well as with the band.
