Oft mentioned as Carter USM, Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine is a British band who is recognized for its indie rock music. The band was formed in the year 1988. The founder members of the group were Jim Morrison who is more commonly known as Jim Bob and Les Carter, known to Carter USM fans as Fruitbat. Where Jin Bob was the singer for the band, Fruitbat was the guitarist. The band emphasized mainly on fusing sequenced basses, samples and rock ‘n’ roll guitars with drum machines to make a unique power pop music. The band saw the peak of their popularity in 1992 after which they continued as a six-piece band and released seven albums before splitting up in 1998.

It was right after the release of the debut single of the band that they began to receive popularity. Since then, the albums and singles released by the band began topping charts in the UK and some even reached number 1. Until 1995, Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine worked as a duo but in 1996, it became a six-member band and released two more albums. In 1998 the band split and all the members began concentrating on side projects. Reunion took place in 2001 and this continued until 2006 when Jim Morrison and Les Carter performed at various venues and held successful concerts.

Yet again, they went into a hiatus and in 2007, they turned up celebrating 20 years of the formation of the band and 10 years of its split up through a number of concerts. Since then, they have continued to hold concerts and performances worldwide and keep on updating their fans about their performances through their Facebook page.
