About John Barrowman

John Barrowman, born John Scott Barrowman, is a Scottish-American media personality, dancer, actor, singer and a theater performer. He was born in Glasgow but moved to Illinois at the age of nine, he holds dual citizenship for UK and USA. His school teachers encouraged him to pursue a career in theater and music and after graduating from United States International University in performing arts; he moved to UK and landed in a theatrical show. Since then, there was no looking back and since then, he has played lead roles in Broadway Theater as well as many musicals. Alongside theater, Barrowman has worked a great deal for TV and in films and enjoys many award nominations.

As far as Barrowman's musical career is concerned, he has done much work that gained recognition and charted. Not only BBC, John Barrowman has served numerous TV channels and not only worked for them but also appeared in many programs as a guest. He has also been a host to BAFTA Awards. He has no belief in gay marriages and although has entered a civil partnership with his partner, Scott Gill, Barrowman does not like to be known as a marriage. He has extensively served the LGBT community and also written two biographies with his sister being the co-author.

John Barrowman can speak two accents of English, American as well as Scottish and has been awarded Entertainer of the Year by Stonewall, an LGBT rights charity based in the UK, in 2006. Barrowman still continued to serve film, TV and music industries with his extraordinary talents.
