About Levellers
The Levellers is one of the most popular bands from England. The style of the music that they produce is rock. The band was created in the year 1988 in Brighton. In the year 1989, the band released its first EP with the name, Carry Me. Two of the songs of this EP, England My Home and Carry Me got aired on radio2. During this time, a new member, Alan Miles joined the band to handle guitar and harmonica. In addi5tion, his job was to handle the backing vocals. With this combination, the band produced another EP with the name, Inside/ Outside. After the release of this EP the band made extensive tours to different places and made their performances. These tours were taken by the band during the period from 1989 to 1990.
In the year 1989, the band came into contract with a French recording company, Musidisc. With the association of this company, the band released an album with the name A Weapon Called the Word. This album was released in the year 1990. The album got a huge success and for making significant sales it was certified with platinum. The initial song of the album was World Freak Show. After going through different disputes with a member, ultimately ending up with the replacement of that member, the band released its second album with the name Levelling The Land. This album was released in the year 1991 and became a huge success. The band has still been involved in various music projects and has been honored with Roots Award last year.
