About Editors
Editors are a musical band based in England. They have their origin in Birmingham. The band was formed in 2002 and has had different names in the past such as Pilot, Snowfield and The Pride. Editors has four members namely Tom Smith who is the lead singer as well as the pianist and rhythm guitarist. After him comes Chris Urbanowicz who is the lead guitarist and the synthesizer. Russell Leetch handles bass guitar and backing vocals and Ed Lay is the drummer who handles repercussion as well. Editors has released a total of three albums, two out of which have been certified platinum. The band has sold millions of copies all over the world.
The first album of the band was released in 2005 titled Back Room. In this album, the band had produced some of the most outstanding songs like, Munich and Blood. After this in 2006, the album was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The second album of this band, An End Has a Start was ranked as number one in the UK Album Chart. This album made the band to be nominated for the BRIT Award for the most excellent British Band. One of the songs of this album, Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors reached in the top 10 songs of UK. The third album of Editors, In This Light And On This Evening also reached on number one position immediately after it was released. The band is still producing different hits and has been giving many successful performances in different concerts and events.
