About Be Your Own Pet

Be Your Own pet formed in Nashville, Tennessee and began their career in 2005 with XL recoding company. The group had four members at the time of heir breakup in 2008 namely Jemina Pearl, John Eatherly, Nathan Vasquez and Jonas Stein. Eatherly was the drummer, Pearl was the lead vocalist and Stein was the guitarist as well as a backup vocalist while Vasquez was a backup vocalist as well as a bassist. Jamin and Jake Orrall used to handle the drum and guitar respectively but left the group long before it broke up. After working a little with XL, Be Your Own Pet was signed to an American record label, Ecstatic Peace. Initially, the group had experienced working with the Nashville based Infinity Cat Records.

As of today, all the group members are busy working on their individual projects which are other bands. After a small tour around the UK, this was the message that fans read on the website of Be Your Own Pet �To all of our fans, we are sad to bring you the news that our upcoming shows in the UK are going to be our last as a band. We thank you for all your love and support these past few years. It's been a blast, but the time has come for the four of us to go our separate ways�. The last performance of the band was on the 26th of August at Dingwalls, London.

Currently, John Eatherly and Jonas Stein play in the band, Turbo Fruits with Max Peebles being the third member of the group. Nathan Vasquez is a part of Deluxin, Jemina Pearl of Rare Form and the Orralls playing in JEFF the Brotherhood.
