Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World is an American band from the state of Arizona. The band does alternative rock music and was formed in 1993. From the four members of Jimmy Eat World, Jim Adkins is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Tom Linton is the backing vocalist and guitarist, Zach Lind is the drummer and Rick Burch is the bassist. The band began with a punk rock sound for which, they released a demo tape in 1993. This was followed by the first EP of the band titled, One, Two, Three, Four. The following year, in 1994, Jimmy Eat World released their first album, which was self titled. This was the only album in which the line-up was slightly different with Tom Linton majorly singing most of the songs.

All the other six albums of the band had line-up as stated above. The second and third albums of the band were released under the banner of Capitol Records and the band’s 1999 album, Clarity enjoyed critical acclaim. It contained the renowned single, Lucky Denver Mint that was featured in the film, Never Been Kissed. However, it was not until 2001 that the band released their album, Bleed American which and earned commercial success. Its single, The Middle peaked at Number 1 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks while four others were enlisted amongst the Top 20 in the same chart.

Since then, the band had come to limelight and produced charting albums that made selling records in its history and enjoyed a great deal of success and fame. With seven albums on their record, Jimmy Eat World is enjoying concerts and still actively working towards making more music.
