Baby Dee is a talented musician native of Cleveland, Ohio. She is a capable song writer, multi-instrumentalist as well as a performance artist. Born in 1953, Baby Dee began her musical career in the 1970s as street performer which was later turned into an organist in a Catholic Church of Bronx. After 10 years of playing the organ, she left church and went back to street performing. By birth, Baby Dee is a male but comes out as a transgender. She transformed herself into a woman when she joined the church. Her street performance became immensely popular. Somewhere in the 1990s, Baby Dee met Antony Hegarty who is a transgender musician as well as a performance artist. They both became very close friends and she performed harp for Hegarty's debut album which was released in 1998.

Soon after, Baby Dee returned to, Cleveland and began working as a tree surgeon. She kept on giving songs to Hegarty that she had planned to perform. Hegarty instead kept on forwarding them to the founder of the musical band named Current 93, David Tibet. It was then that Tibet invited Baby Dee to record her own album. Following this invitation, Baby Dee recorded her first album in 2001, Little Window, which failed to get desirable attention but the few reviews received were mainly positive. In 2002, her second album came out which again, did not receive much attention. By 2006, Dee had become pessimistic of her career and retired to Cleveland to continue working as a tree surgeon.

After and being left jobless, she returned to her musical career. 2007 saw release of a compilation of her first two albums and three other songs while in 2008, she released her third album that received significant attention. Her fourth album, released in 2010 took her to further fame. Her last album came out in 2011 which is a mix of many instruments and Baby Dee is touring extensively, showing her talents off.
