About Backstreet Boys

Backstreet Boys is one of the most popular boy bands in the world. The band began their career in 1993 in the city of Orlando in United Sates. Backstreet Boys gained the popularity all over the globe with the release of their first album that was named Backstreet Boys, in 1996. Thereafter Back Street boys gave another hit album with the name of Backstreet's Back in 1997. Both these albums made a huge fame all over the world. However they got their major breakthrough after the release of their album, Millennium in 1997. With the release of this album, they began to be considered as superstars.

This group has continued to give hit albums. In 1996 one of the members, Richardson, left the group, however, according to the other group members there is every possibility that he would return to the band. Selling more than 130 million copies, Backstreet Boys have become one of the highest selling boy bands of all times and many of their albums peaking chart all over the United States, they are the first band after Sade, to have first seven of their albums to have been ranked amongst top 10. Also referred to as BSB by fans and media, the international recognition of the band became evident right after the release of their first album and many other albums reaching number 1 in charts all around the Americas and Europe.

The June of 2006 saw one of the group members, Kevin Richardson left the group. Following this episode, the rest of the band members began working on their next album. The last album released by the four-member band was in 2009 which was a great hit. From this album, a song closed the American Music Awards of 2010 marking the last performance of the band to date.
