Jackson 5 was a musical band from the United States. The members that formed the band were Jackie, Michael, Marlon, Jermaine and Tito. The group remained active during the period from 1964 to 1990. Jackson 5 remained in contract with the company, Motown for more than six years. During this time, they became one of the biggest pop bands. They touched this peak of their popularity during the period of 1970s. This band is among those few bands that had their initial four songs touching the heights of popularity. The names of these songs are I'll Be There, The Love You Say, ABC and I Want You Back. All four of these songs were rated among the Billboard Hot 100.
In addition to this, many of their other songs reached in Top 5 songs and some of them were also rated as number one song in the R&B Singles chart. The songs that got these ranks include Dancing Machine, Never Can Say Goodbye and Mama's Pearl. The producers and writers of the songs of the band that became popular during its initial days were a team of songwriters called The Corporation. Then at the end of 70s the band started to write the songs itself. In addition, the band also started the production of the songs itself. One of the biggest achievements of the band was that it was among the first bands of black people that attracted the white audience towards it. The band continued to produce some good pieces of music. However during the recent times, there has been some uncertainty about the unity of the band as some of the members had started to begin their solo careers.
