Led Zappelin was a rock band from England. Forming in 1968, the band remained active until 1980 until it was dissolved. However, Led Zappelin never got out of the scene as they kept on reuniting from time to time. The first reunion the band took place in 1985, the second reunion took place in 1988, the third reunion took place in 1995 and the fourth reunion took place in 2007. Hence, even the younger generation has been much aware of the music of this awards wining and one of the world's highest selling bands. Since 2007, the band has neither reunited nor have had any joint performances, despite some announcements made regarding the latter. The band comprised of Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and John Bonham.
Page handled the guitar, plant was the lead vocalist, Jones was the bassist and Bonham was the drummer for Led Zappelin. Even though the band's music has been influenced from various musical genres, it is often cited to be one of pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal music. As of 2011, it has been 30 years to Bonham's death and 3 years since the band made any productions, it is still highly regarded for its achievements and commercial success.
Led Zappelin released nine albums and toured extensively. They are not only considered one of the most successful bands of this genre but actually prove to be so by having sold more than 200 million albums worldwide with 111.5 million certified units. They have won numerous awards and achieved various titles such as 'the heaviest band of all times' and 'the biggest band of70s.' Led Zappelin is one of the world's second best selling band and also one of the world's best selling artists of all times.
