Backstreet Boys Biography

The Backstreet Boys are back with their 2008 Backstreet Boys Unbreakable World Tour! The Backstreet Boys are simply legends in the boy band world. The Backstreet Boys have had 13 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and have approximately sold 100 million records. The Backstreet boys are the best selling boy band of all time and World's Biggest Money Makers in Concert and Album Sales for the years 1997 to 2005. Two of their albums: Millennium and Backstreet Boys are listed at No. 13 No. 27 in the list of 150 Best Selling Albums.

After returning to the music scene in 2005, the Backstreet Boys’ sound changed dramatically. The Backstreet Boys began using only live instruments, some of which they played themselves, and got into a more guitar and piano driven pop rock sound. The four-member group consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and A. J. McLean. The original member Kevin Richardson left the group on June 23, 2006 to begin a family, but the rest of the Backstreet Boys refuse to rule out a possible return for Kevin Richardson.

The Unbreakable World Tour is the Backstreet Boys first tour since the group’s Never Gone World Tour in 2005. The Backstreet Boy’s tour kicked off in Japan with 2 sold out concerts in the Tokyo Dome. The Backstreet Boys are making the tour more like the tours they put on at the start of their career with more dancing than their previous tour. Each Backstreet Boys member will perform a solo number during the concert.

The Backstreet Boys plan to make this a true world tour, hitting countries they haven't visited in years, along with visiting new countries. The band makes their first stop ever on tour in Russia, along with South Africa dates.
